I acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land where I live, work and dance, the Wurundjeri people and the Boon Wurrung people of the Kulin nations. I recognise their continuing connection to land, waters and culture. I pay my respects to their Elders past, present and emerging.

Welcome

I believe in the power of people to change and to grow towards the light, like the green blade of a daffodil that pushes up through the soil to burst into flower in the sun.

When our lives are rich with purpose and meaning, we are connected with ourselves and with others. Our lives are rich with joy, love and laughter and we can face life's challenges with courage and compassion. Whilst we may be buffeted by the wind, we are firmly tethered by our roots. We know with confidence that we can weather the storms and celebrate when the sun shines.

There are times in our lives when we find it more difficult to find our way towards the light. The colours in our lives become muted, the sounds muffled and we see the world going past but cannot reach out and connect with it. We may experience a feeling of generalised dissatisfaction, anxiety or depression and our relationships may be strained. We often know that we need to restore the joy, laughter, love and fun to our lives but may not know how.

At times like these seeking the help of a counsellor can be invaluable. Within a supportive and non-judgemental environment you will have the chance to explore what is getting in the way of you connecting with yourself and others, you will learn new ways to act rather than re-act to situations and you will learn to be both curious and compassionate toward yourself as you discover what brings the joy and light into your life.
